Erasmus+ Programme

An education and training programme

The Erasmus+ programme aims to promote and strengthen the quality and European dimension of higher education.

As such, this programme:
• promotes the mobility of students, teachers and staff of establishments,
• labels and supports training of excellence at master's level,
• facilitates partnership actions between universities or between universities and businesses through cooperation projects.

Erasmus + mobility programme is an exchange programmme to finance incoming and outgoing mobility. This mobility concerns students (period of study or internship), doctoral students and staff (training or teaching mission) within partner establishments.

Erasmus+ Europe

AGROCAMPUS OUEST has signed around 40 exchange agreements with European universities.

This allows:

  • students of the school to complete a semester of study in 20 different countries, while benefiting from a scholarship,
  • students enrolled in one of these partner universities in Europe to complete part of their curriculum within AGROCAMPUS OUEST.

Staff can benefit from Erasmus + mobility in order to train or teach at a partner university.

Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility

Since 2015, Erasmus + mobility has also extended internationally.

AGROCAMPUS OUEST has obtained grants to enable students, doctoral students, teacher-researchers and staff to move to or from partner establishments in 5 countries: Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Tunisia.

Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree

These programmes of excellence, certified by the European Commission and carried out in partnership between several international universities, allow the students to carry out their master's in at least 2 European universities in the consortium and give rise to the award of a double or joint diploma.

In this context, the European Commission offers a number of scholarships to support students in their mobility.

Cooperation projects

The Erasmus + programme also finances cooperation projects aimed at:

  • share and develop innovative practices in Europe in the fields of education and training
  • support the modernization of higher education systems in partner countries in the European neighborhood

Strategic partnership project

Coordinated by AGROCAMPUS OUEST, this project started in September 2017 for a period of 3 years. It brings together 6 European higher education institutions (AGROCAMPUS OUEST, University of Cracow, University of Bologna, University of Liège-Gembloux, ONIRIS and ESA of Angers). The objective is to create an educational game allowing students and professionals to understand agroecology: the player having at his disposal a whole panel of agroecological practices allowing him to develop his agricultural exploitation.

Capacity building project

This project (2017-2020) brings together 5 higher education institutions and an NGO: AGROCAMPUS OUEST, National University of Mongolia, Mongolia University of Science & Technology, Mongolia University of Life Science, Agricultural University of Timisoara, University of Santiago de Compostela and GERES (Renewable Energies, Environment and Solidarity Group). Coordinated by AGROCAMPUS OUEST, it aims to develop new educational tools to support agricultural and agrifood training and meet the demands of businesses.

Erasmus+ Jean Monnet module

The project aims to offer in 2019, 2020 and 2021 a week-long doctoral training module on European Union policies and actions to a group of around 30 doctoral students.
